The HALO Home In-Wall Smart Switch controls ceiling and exhaust fans or any of your lights. It is designed to connect to the HALO Home Bluetooth Mesh network with no hub or internet connection required. Yes. This Switch requires power for its Bluetooth radio to function and thus needs a neutral leg to complete the circuit.
Pairing and commissioning HALO Home is simple with a little planning. We have an installation guide that will walk you through this using either air-gap switches or circuit breakers: support.bringhalohome.com
The number of lights depends on the type and how many watts they use. Please review the Spec Sheet for this switch’s maximum wattage information. Regarding fans, the Switch can handle one ½ horsepower fan motor.
Yes. This switch is made to work with any non-dimmable lighting load - LED, incandescent, CFL, halogen ELV, and MLV and ceiling/exhaust fans.
If you need to reset your Switch, try removing it from the app first. If that does not work, then: Hold the ON button for 12 seconds to reset.
One. Smart Switches operate as a single-pole switch - turning ON/OFF/Dimming the lighting load. Any other location (3-way or multi-way) need to be HALO Home Controllers (Accessory Switches or Scene Keypads - Battery/Hardwired). Controllers are set up in the app to command devices like the Smart Switch.
HALO Home accounts have a 200-device maximum.
